![]() As of now JCPenny locations remained untouched but I’m sure with the new year those locations will likely shut down to make room for growth with their new Kohl stores. I’m personally unimpressed and looking forward to Target and Ulta’s collaboration as we near closer to the Fall and I’m sure we’ll see photos of the locations as they start to pop up! I just find the relationship of Kohl’s and Sephora an odd one! I’ve felt the same about the one they shared with JCPenny. The locations will offer 125 different brands with selections available across all categories of beauty such as makeup, fragrance, skincare, and haircare. I have doubts Kohl’s will improve upon their beauty section in the future and it may very well be gone at some point as not to be in direct competition with brands that Sephora carries.Īlong with its own entrance these new pop-up Sephora locations in Kohl’s will have 15 Kohl employees that will man the store that have been trained by Sephora. I do know this new move has really ruined the beauty section for Kohl’s in my opinion as many of the brands they used to carry such as Lorac are long gone and I imagine that’s due to their current contract with Sephora. That being said it does look like it has a lot more space. ![]() However, from the photos I’m seeing it looks pretty much like any Sephora JCPenny store I’ve come across. The goal of the Sephora locations at Kohl’s was to make the store feel apart from Kohl’s and like a freestanding store all its own with its own entrance. Kohl’s has 1162 stores across the USA and aim to bring Sephora to many of those locations. As you know Sephora went live on several days ago and the first Sephora inside Kohl’s opened in Ramsey, New Jersey this past Friday with over 2500 square feet of shopping space. The new Sephora locations located inside Kohl’s have been revealed on WWD.com and things are looking a lot like JCPenny to me.
